Turn your phone into broccoli.
Hold one button and your distracting apps are blocked. To get them back, you have to go tap your Broc tag. Put the tag somewhere that takes effort to reach.
Works with any NTAG213, 215 or 216 NFC sticker.
Turn your phone into broccoli
3 apps will be blocked.
Try it: press and hold the button.
Easy to start. Annoying to stop.
Broc puts a little distance between you and the scroll. That small walk is usually enough.
-
Pick your apps
Choose the apps, categories or websites you lose time to. Instagram, TikTok, the usual suspects.
-
Hold to broc
Press and hold for a second and a half. Little broccoli pop out, and your phone is now broccoli.
-
Tap your tag to un-broc
The only way back is your Broc tag. Stick it on the fridge, by the front door, or at the office.
Small app, firm boundaries.
A tag, not a toggle
Brocing takes one hold. Un-brocing takes a trip to your NFC tag, so the impulse usually passes before you get there.
5 emergency un-brocs
For real emergencies, hidden behind a menu and a confirmation. You get five, total. They don't refill.
A timer for your streak
See how long your phone has been broccoli, in the app and on a home screen widget. It resets when you un-broc.
Stays on your phone
No account, no tracking, no servers. Blocking runs on Apple's Screen Time, and Broc can't even see which apps you picked.
Good questions.
What tag do I need?
Any NFC sticker or card labeled NTAG213, NTAG215 or NTAG216. They cost a few dollars for a pack online. Broc writes a private code to the tag during setup, so only that tag can un-broc your phone. MIFARE Classic tags don't work with iPhone.
What if I lose my tag?
Use one of your emergency un-brocs, then set up a new tag in Broc. The old one stops working the moment a new one is set up.
Can I change my blocked apps while I'm broccoli?
No. Your app list and your tag are locked until you un-broc. That's the point.
Does it work on Android?
Not yet. Broc is built on Apple's Screen Time technology, so it's iPhone only for now.
What does Broc know about me?
Nothing that leaves your phone. Read the full privacy policy; it's short.
Be broccoli for a while.
Broc is coming soon to the App Store.
